ABOUT
I have always had a keen interest in the outdoors and being active. As a child I would often be climbing trees or going on long adventurous walks around my home in West Penwith. In my early teens, along with playing regular rugby for local teams and undertaking the Ten-Tors challenge, I became interested in gym and free weight training and have been a member at Evolution Gym at St Ives Rugby club ever since.

Not long after finishing college I joined the elite Royal Marines Commandos which tested my mental and physical limits beyond what I thought I was capable of. It developed a mindset of absolute determination and resilience. However, having been on the receiving end, I am fully aware of the low points in any training programme. I know that anyone and everyone can bounce back from their lowest point to be better then they’ve ever been before and achieve more than they could ever have imagined.

It was when training with colleagues on base that I became interested in functional training and the correct mechanics of human movement and exercise. After then moving on to coaching some friends whilst in the Royal Marines, I decided that this was the path I wanted to follow and so left the forces to become a Personal Trainer.
