Basics of Nutrition Programme

Nutrition is a fundamental aspect of a healthy lifestyle, let alone a good fitness regime.

Even if you work out for an hour every day, there are still another 23 hours in the day that can make or break your success. That is just one reason why a good diet is so important!

The programme

With so much information and misinformation out there it can be difficult to formulate an accurate idea of what is good and what is not.

My Basics of Nutrition programme will teach you all you need to know about healthy eating to ensure a healthier lifestyle.

It comprises of two 1:1 sessions followed by regular online ‘check ins’ and an assessment after 6 weeks to review your progress.

Session 1 – Fact finding

This is an hour information session where we will discuss what foods and drinks you should be consuming as part of a healthy diet as well as ensuring optimum performance in achieving your fitness goals.

I will provide you with information on macro & micronutrients, the role of insulin, good fats, bad fats, etc so that you can make informed choices on the food you eat.

During this session we will establish what your current habits, aspirations and ‘vices’ are so we can set manageable goals based on your fitness target, lifestyle constraints and initial weight & measurements. 

As part of this session, you will receive a starter pack containing more than 60 recipes to get you started on the road to clean eating. As well as the ingredients and method, these also provide a calorie guide for each meal and inform you of the meal’s macronutrient content.

Session 2 – Lets get started!

For this session we will visit a local supermarket where we will walk around discussing the different food groups and how they benefit us or are detrimental to our health. 

Down to business

You will then be ready to ‘hit the road running’, but don’t panic, the support doesn’t end there! I take pride in my coaching methods which involve working together with my clients to ensure you achieve your goals. I will therefore be there to support you through the whole process, helping you with any questions you may have along the way. After 6 weeks have passed, we will do a weigh in and take measurements again to assess your progress and adjust any targets where necessary.
